Bought this new for my son, and I drove it for the first month or so while he was away. It's very fun to drive! Excellent handling, nimble and solid. Good steering feel. Corners well. Rides smooth over bumpy roads. Great in all weather, including snow, on and off pavement. 35+ mpg, always, even around town. For AWD that's amazing. It has great crash test ratings. It's an extremely comfortable and well-appointed vehicle for its price. Heated seats, for example, and they are comfy. And the cabin is soundproofed well. The driver's side door handle that's integrated into the plastic molding became brittle and fell off. A new molding was $350 so I just repaired it myself. The biggest drawback is that the CVT can occasionally be sluggish off the line. So if you need a reliable AWD vehicle in the $20k price range for communing and family transportation the Impreza is definitely worth a look.…
