The Drive for Excellence is Giving Away it's 17th new car!

Burlington Hyundai, Burlington Subaru, and fellow Drive for Excellence sponsors will once again award a brand-new car to a lucky high school junior or senior! Every high school junior and senior within the Vermont and northern New York Hall Communications listening area have the opportunity to win. The better your grades, the better your chances to win a new Subaru Impreza or Hyundai Elantra!

We are also awarding another round of scholarships!

Once again three lucky students will receive one of three $1,000 scholarships from our newest partner and sponsor Vermont Federal Credit Union to put towards their education. (Yes! It is possible to win a new car and a scholarship.)

Here is what you need to know:

The Better the Grades the Better Your Chances

HS juniors and seniors, for every A on your report you will receive two entries into the giveaway, and one entry for every B.
(Please see the official rules page for more information on how we scale numerical and Proficiency-Based grades.) 

You Will Need to Register Online and Submit Proof of Grades

Online registration will be available on February 1, 2024. The deadline to register all entries is 11:59pm on June 30, 2024. Students are able to register online or mail in their registration and report cards to Burlington Subaru Hyundai 351 Shelburne Road, Burlington, Vermont, 05401.

We Will Need Your Report Cards by June, 30 2024

All report cards submitted electronically must be received by June 30, 2024, at 11:59 pm. All report cards submitted via US postal service mail must be received by 5pm on June 30, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS.  

Selected Finalists Must be Present to Win

50 Finalists that meet the eligibility requirements will be randomly selected by July 1, 2024 and notified via email. The grand prize drawing will take place on July 20 2024 at 10:00 AM. Students must be present at the time of the Grand Prize Drawing in order to win.
(At the time of the drawing, the winner must be at least 16 years old and living in Vermont, or Clinton, Essex, or Franklin Counties of New York and currently be enrolled in an accredited Vermont high school or an accredited New York High School. Please see official rules page for eligibility requirements)  

On July 20, 2024 One Lucky Student Will Drive Home a New Car!

The Grand Prize Giveaway is scheduled to take place on July 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Burlington Subaru Showroom. Shortly after 10:00 AM three lucky students will be randomly selected to win one of three $1,000 Scholarships provided by Vermont Federal Credit Union. After all three scholarships have been awarded a grand prize winner will be draw and the Drive for Excellence will have given away its 17th new car!
(Winners are responsible for all taxes, registration and associated costs. Winners must have a valid Vermont or New York state driver's license or learner's permit at the time of the giveaway and must provide proof of insurance.)
