2011 Winner Announced - Zoe Davis, senior at West Rutland High School in West Rutland, VT

Burlington Subaru-Hyundai alongside Hall Communications Group and WCAX Channel 3 gave away a brand-new 2011 Subaru Impreza today to Zoe Davis of Ira, Vermont. Davis was among 609 students who entered the Drive for Excellence, and one of the 75 finalists who came to Burlington Subaru-Hyundai for the drawing today. Davis will be graduating as the 2011 Valedictorian of West Rutland high school and will be headed to the University of Vermont this fall to study molecular genetics.

High school juniors and seniors have been turning in their report cards throughout the school year and received entries for each A, B and for perfect attendance. Almost 14,000 entries were received and the 75 finalists were drawn on April 27. The final drawing was held today at Burlington Subaru-Hyundai, where Davis was able to choose between the 2011 Hyundai Elantra and the 2011 Subaru Impreza.
This is the fourth annual giveaway of a vehicle hosted by the dealership. The previous winners were Shane Mason of Milton High School in 2008, Sarah Cameron of Colchester High School in 2009 and Crystal LaHart of Peru Senior High School in 2010.

"We felt it was a great way to reward hard-working students who go to class every day and show good results in the process. It has become a really fun day for our staff as well over the last four years. We are proud to be associated with the Drive for Excellence," said Steve Kelson, general sales manager of Burlington Subaru.
